This cake is quite possibly one of the best desserts for the upcoming holidays! It’s a brown sugar based cake, packed with cinnamon and apples. This cake is cooked at a lower temperature which allows the apples to cook slower, resulting in soft delicious apple pieces through out the cake. Once the bundt cake is baked, allow it to cool and dust with powdered sugar. It’s such a simple and easy cake making it the perfect addition to your holiday brunch spread.
Ingredients in the Apple Bundt Cake
- Granny Smith Apples: This recipe calls for 3-4 small OR 3 medium size granny smith apples. It’s best to use cooking apples such as granny smith because they are slightly tart and won’t be overly sweet when added with sugar.
- Brown Sugar: Brown sugar will help keep the cake moist, not overly sweet but adds delicious flavor to the apple bundt cake. It also helps give the cake it’s beautiful deep brown color.
- Granulated Sugar: White sugar is added to provide the perfect amount of sweetness to the cake and to offset the tartness of the apples.
- All Purpose Flour: The all purpose flour is used to provide structure to the cake.
- Baking Soda: Baking soda is used to help the cake rise and to also provide a light and fluffy crumb.
- Cinnamon: Provides the perfect amount of spice to the cake.
- Vegetable Oil: Keeps the cake perfectly moist, resulting in a tender crumb. Think melt in your mouth cake!
- Sour Cream: Also adds to the moisture of the cake and helps activate the baking soda.

- Eggs: The eggs help give the cake it’s structure and also helps keep the cake moist.

How to make the Apple Bundt Cake
Start out by preheating the oven to 325 degrees. Peel, core, and dice apples into small pieces. In a mixing bowl, mix the brown sugar, sugar and oil together until blended. Add in the eggs, sour cream, and vanilla then add in all of the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined then fold in the apples. Pour the batter into a greased Bundt pan. Bake for 60-65 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Once the cake is done, dust it with powdered sugar and serve with the Caramel Apple Sangria.

How to make this Sangria
- 1 Bottle of Mija White Sangria : This is the base of the of the sangria. It’s packed with delicious tropical flavors like lime and guava.
- Apple Cider: Adds a delicious apple flavor to the sangria.
- Caramel Vodka: Need I say more! This is what takes the sangria over the top!
- Sliced Apples: Sliced apples are added to the pitcher for presentation and flavor.
Grab a pitcher for the sangria, add in wine, vodka, and cider. Mix until well combined. Add in sliced apples and place in the fridge until ready to serve.

- 3 Medium Granny Smith Apples Peeled, cored and diced
- 3/4 cup Sugar
- 1 1/4 cup Brown Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
- 3 cup All Purpose Flour
- 2 teaspoon Cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon Vanilla Extract
- 1 1/4 cup Vegetable Oil
- 3 Eggs
- 1/2 cup Sour Cream
Caramel Apple Sangria
- 1 Bottle White Wine
- 6 cup Apple Cider
- 1 cup Caramel Vodka
- 4-5 Apples Sliced or Diced

- 1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Grease a 9 inch Bundt Cake then set aside. 2. Peel, core and diced 3-4 small or 3 medium size apples. 3. In a mixing bowl, mix together the vegetable oil, brown sugar and sugar until well combined. 4. Next, add in the eggs, vanilla, and sour cream. Then mix in the dry ingredients until just combined.5. Fold in the apples then pour the batter into the prepared pan. 6. Bake for 60-65 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. 7. Once the call cools, dust with powered sugar.
Caramel Apple Sangria
- 1. In a pitcher, mix together the wine, cider, and vodka together. Then add in sliced apples and allow to chill for about an hour before serving.
