Over the weekend we had our first big snow fall of the season and I was excited to be snowed in with my boys and my pups. So I decided to make some peanut butter blondies, because I knew Jeremy was going to need a nice snack after shoveling all of the snow.
Although the peanut butter blondies were good all on their own, I decided that the deliciousness needed to be taken to the next level. So why not drizzle the shit out of them with some semi sweet chocolate? SERIOUSLY…Nothing like the combo of peanut butter and chocolate. Not too sweet but perfectly balanced.
Of course I tried to get Mr. Picky Jeremy to try them but of course he refused. If you follow me on IG, you know I’m still fasting for church so I only nibbled on one…you know for taste testing purposes and they were so perfect. Soft, chewy, not to sweet and the perfect amount of peanut butter.
I start off with mixing the softened butter and peanut butter together. Add in the brown sugar, eggs and vanilla. Then mix in your dry ingredients. Spread into a prepared 9×13 baking dish, bake for 30 minutes. For the chocolate drizzle, place semi sweet chocolate chips in a microwavable bowl and microwave in intervals of 30 seconds so the chocolate doesn’t burn.
This recipe is super easy and makes some delicious chewy peanut butter bars. Prefect by themselves but even better with chocolate.
