I’ve been wanting to make a chewy oatmeal raisin cookie for the longest but wanted to make sure that they came out chewy and soft. These are possibly the best oatmeal cookies I’ve ever made.
These cookies are packed with oatmeal, raisins and cinnamon. One of the things I love about this recipe is that its so versatile. Want to add walnuts? Why not. You wanna add some chocolate chips instead of raisins? Go ahead. What about m&m’s ? … go on just do it. Heck, you can add of the above to make a monster cookie if you want which would also be delicious.
I started out with softened butter, sugar and brown sugar and creamed it for about 2-3 minutes. While the butter and sugar were creaming, I measured out all of my dry ingredients and placed them in a separate bowl for the time being. I then added the dry ingredients to the mixer and mixed just until combined. Then throw the raisins in.
Scoop the cookie dough on a cookie sheet making sure to leave 2 inches between each cookie.
Bake for about 9-10 minutes at 350 and Enjoy!
