1.Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In the bowl of a stand mixer, cream together softened butter, vanilla and sugar for at least 3-4 minutes. It should be almost white in color and fluffy. 2. Next, scrape the bowl and spatula attachment to get all of the butter/sugar back in the bowl. Be sure to scrape the sides also. Add the eggs one at a time being sure that each egg is incorporated before adding the next. It's helpful to stop the mixer and scrape the sides of the bowl. 3. Once all of the eggs are fully incorporated, add the flour and sour cream mixture alternating between the two. Scoop the batter into a 10x5 loaf pan. Bake for 55-65 minutes or until the toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.4. Mix the powdered sugar, vanilla and milk together. Pour over cooled pound cake.
