Perfectly rich, chewy, buttery and oh so delicious cookies. These Million Dollar Chocolate Chip Cookies will be your new favorite cookie. Delicious on their own but insanely good with a glass of milk or with vanilla ice cream.
Chocolate chip cookies are a staple in my household and we usually make them at least once a week. I usually make a double batch of this recipe and freeze the rest for another day. Trust me when I tell you, you’ll want to do the same….these cookies are that good. With no chill time, you’ll be enjoying these cookies in no time. These Million Dollar Chocolate Chip Cookies are everything I would want in a cookie! Chewy, rich, buttery, slightly crunchy edges, perfectly salty and just straight up delicious.
Why are these called Million Dollar Cookies
I’m calling these Million Dollar Chocolate Chip Cookies because of the ingredients necessary to make them. You see, using quality ingredients really make these cookies so delicious. I firmly believe using higher quality butter, eggs, and vanilla are definitely necessary in this recipe. We all know how expensive groceries are right now and of course getting more expensive ingredients will surely push the price of a recipe up. Purchasing ingredients for this recipe will probably make you feel as though you spent a million dollars at the store. Now, as a mom of 2, I’m certainly on a budget but will buy those higher priced ingredients when the store runs a sale. Just like I mentioned earlier, when I do make this recipe I’ll freeze some dough for another day.
What we love about this recipe:
- Rich, Chewy and Delicious: These cookies are rich in flavor, chewy in texture and just straight up delicious.
- Don’t need to be chilled: If you’re looking for a cookie recipe that doesn’t require refrigeration time prior to baking, then this is the recipe for you.
- Cookie dough can be frozen: I like to make a double batch of this recipe and freeze the rest for another day.
- Slightly crisp edges, chewy middles: What perfect cookies are made of.
Ingredients:
- Costco Grass Fed Butter: This is my favorite butter to buy from Costco and dare I say it’s a Kerrygold dupe! It’s perfectly salted, creamy and taste so good.
- Brown Sugar + Sugar: There is more brown sugar than granulated sugar in this recipe to really bring out the rich flavor of the cookie.
- Vanilla Extract: I’m a firm believer to measure with your heart when it comes to vanilla.
- Eggs: Now eggs are pricey as hell, so if I have the store brand on hand then that’s what I’m using. However, majority of the time we have Vital Farms on hand for breakfast so this is the brand in this recipe.
- Baking Soda: Please make sure it’s not expired beforehand.
- Bread Flour: Now here is the secret ingredient and the most unassuming. I think the bread flour is what really makes this cookie unique. It creates an amazing chewy texture.
- All Purpose Flour: The usual suspect in a classic chocolate chip cookie.
Expert tips for the perfect cookie:
- Room Temperature Ingredients: Before you even preheat the oven, gone ahead and pull out all of the necessary ingredients.
- Use European Style Butter: Now I may be biased but I swear by the Costco Grassfed Butter. It has a good butterfat content which makes for a rich and decadent cookie.
- Have all of your ingredients ready to go: Mise en place is what we call it in pastry school. Have all of your ingredients measured out before you start making the recipe.

First time visiting your site. The ingredient list is missing the amount of chocolate. One cup? More? Semi-sweet or dark chocolate. Thank you!
